ARCADIA Original Shopping Bag｜オリジナルショッピングバッグ【BLACK】

1980年代ごろのアメリカのスーパーマーケットで使われていた“リユーサブルバッグ”をモチーフに、ARCADIAオリジナルとして製作したコーデュロイショッピングバッグ。

当時のアメリカでは、紙袋や薄手のプラ袋が主流だった時代に、繰り返し使える布バッグを導入し始めるスーパーが少しずつ増えはじめました。環境意識の高まりの“前夜”ともいえる時期で、ローカル店が独自プリントを施して配布したリユーサブルバッグは、今では貴重なアメリカン・デイリーグッズの一つとして評価されています。

その空気感を大切にしながら、現代で使いやすい仕様と品質にアップデートしたのがこちらの一枚で、フロントには当店名「ARC CO. INC.」と、カレッジカルチャーを思わせる“VARSITY CLUB”のブルドッグロゴを配置して、程よい遊び心とヴィンテージムードを加えています。

さらに生地は、遠州産の高品質な国産コーデュロイを贅沢に使用。細かく整った畝の美しさと、やわらかな風合いが特徴で持った瞬間に分かる上質さ、ワンランク上の使い心地を楽しめます。

Inspired by the reusable bags used in American supermarkets in the 1980s, this corduroy shopping bag was created as an ARCADIA original.

Back then, most stores still relied on paper bags or thin plastic sacks, but a handful of supermarkets had just begun introducing reusable cloth bags. It was the early stirrings of environmental awareness, and those locally made, custom-printed reusable bags have since become sought-after pieces of everyday American goods.

This bag carries that same vintage spirit, updated with modern durability and usability. The front features our shop name, “ARC CO. INC.,” paired with a varsity-style bulldog logo that adds a playful touch and a nostalgic, collegiate feel.

For the fabric, we selected premium corduroy woven in the Ensh?? region of Japan—known for its fine, uniform ridges and soft, refined hand. You can feel the quality the moment you pick it up, and it offers an elevated everyday experience.
